A Disgruntled Pancreas

The August blog prompt for the DSMA Blog Carnival is “Your pancreas is in a job interview and totally bombed the question about ______.”
My pancreas, bombed the question, I mean, lost her cool when asked -. “Why are you looking for a new job?”
I am looking for a new job because I am unappreciated at my current one. For years and years I worked tirelessly, never asked for a raise, never took a break or went on vacation and I did my job well. I loved my employer, the owner of the company, and I thought the bitch loved me too.
An attack by a crazy co-worker, Mr. Immune System, who mistook the office for an arena and thought he was a gladiator, left me a little disabled. My employer now has to do half of my duties and that has turned into name-calling and occasional verbal abuse.
She calls me lazy! She complains a lot and as hard as she tries she can’t do the job as well as I did it.
She does not come close to filling my role even; with the help of her shiny gadgets she calls blood glucose meters, insulin pump and her designer insulin. I have waited a long time since the attack, for it to dawn on her that I made that company a success.
She does not stop whining about being a human pancreas long enough to see she is not even cutting it as half a pancreas.
Yes bitch! You are not a human pancreas. How is that working for you?
Although I am not able to perform my endocrine functions, I still work hard every day on my exocrine functions producing and secreting digestive enzymes. This if you ask me, is half of the building blocks of the company.
Sorry about my rant, what was the question again….
