Inukshuk

“Though no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending”- Carl Bard

New Year makes me anxious I am not exactly sure why maybe it is because it reminds me of my first day in kindergarten when Stella, a class mate, threaten to beat me up for no apparent reason. I remember telling my older brother about Stella’s threat. He took a look at her and responded - “She scares me too”

The mysterious stone figure above is known as Inukshuk, the singular of inuksuit, meaning - “in the likeness of a human” in the Inuit language. They are monuments made of stones and are used by the Inuit for communication and survival. The traditional meaning of the inukshuk is “Someone was here” or “You are on the right path.

The logo for 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics is also based on the Inukshuk.
