Adventures in Snowshoeing
Sandy picked me up early Saturday morning for Team One’s snowshoeing adventure.
It was a picture perfect, dry, sunny day up Cypress Mountain.
Our adventure started at the base with blood sugar checks for the three of us living with type 1 diabetes.
A few minutes walk from the base, our team of eight entered a whole different world, snowshoeing on a trail that weaves through snow-capped woods.
Some of the trees are as old as 700 years.
We had frequent pit stops for blood glucose checks, our meters took turns being too cold but we shared and treated and kept moving.
A few hours and over 6.2miles with what felt like 100 floors climbed (per my Fitbit Ultra) the fun was all over and I loved every minute of it.

Ooh! I’m SO glad you shared pictures! I was hoping you would. Looks like so much fun!

@Scott I took the wrong camera lens for outdoor pictures but I was still able to get a few shoots.

Pearlsa, I got my FitBit in the mail this morning. I’m giving it a trial run on my shopping spree this afternoon (also wearing another pedometer just to cop are). I was really impressed by the tiny size. Hope I don’t lose it. (A couple previous ones have departed down the toilet…..)
