with 4 comments

My point of view, a diabetic journey is a short video about Fiona King, the story of her experience with diabetes.

Fiona King was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 19 and went on to pursue a career as a ballet dancer. She later developed a number of complications including kidney problems and nerve damage that eventually lead to Fiona’s heel being amputated.

Her story highlights the importance of diabetes education and the importance of a cure.

  1. a very moving video. all newly diagnosed diabetics, especially children, young adults and their partents should have to watch this as part of their diabetic training. we all think we are invincible, and it’s best to learn early that we are not.
